Reviewing the new Oneplus 5T

The much waited Oneplus 5T has been finally launched. The phone features a bezel-less design and has an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Oneplus 5T sporting a 6-inch full HD display with 1080×2160 pixel display is the biggest handset ever from OnePlus. The camera has also been slightly enhanced compared to OnePlus 5. However, this launch from Oneplus will be quite a disappointment to people who have bought Oneplus 5 a few months back.

On a press release OnePlus Founder and CEO Pete Lau said that the OnePlus 5 had received a lot of support and positive reviews, but there were some areas that had room for improvement. This was the reason the Oneplus launched this new device.

Bigger Display

Even though the OnePlus 5T has the same physical space as the OnePlus 5, the screen has been enlarged from 5.5 inches to 6.1 inches. The bezel less design gave space for the size increase in the device.

The Oneplus 5T has a resolution of 1080×2160 resolution but maintains 1080p resolution while other mobile manufacturers push out to 2K. On the positive side this has a positive impact on the battery usage. In normal use the lower resolution has very little impact than you might think.

New Security Feature

The Oneplus 5T has moved the fingerprint sensor which has become an essential feature of Android to the rear part of the device. But, it is placed in position that is comfortable and partly away from the dual-lens system. It’s natural, fast, and appreciated.

The OnePlus can now join the newly-found party of face detection unlocking. The device can be configured to unlock when the software recognize your face. This feature is really fast and recognizes well.

The Flagship Killer`

The best feature of all is the price. OnePlus has priced the Oneplus 5T in line to the OnePlus 5 . It costs £449 in the UK for the 6GB/ 64GB variant and £499 for the 8GB/ 128GB variant.
