SmokeD cameras can easily detect smoke or fire from a distance of up to 10 miles and can cover up to 36 acres of video surveillance. Within one minute, 60 images are captured and taken through a thorough analysis. In case the pictures analyzed shows smoke or some traces of fire, the user automatically receives a notification to his/her mobile app.
The camera has GPS module, gyroscope and a compass that enables it to give the accurate point of the smoke or fire on the map. When SmokeD cameras detect smoke in the pictures taken, this is an automatic sign of danger, and so, a notification message goes out to about 3,000 app users immediately. If at least half of these users confirms the warning notification, the detection center sends a notice with the exact location to the emergency service for the next action.
