The FocusWriter processor has neglected some features like move, cut and refinement of paragraphs. It is not intended to work on second or third draft methods.
The formatting options are very little and the UI of the software spread over the entire screen covering it up from your clock to your email notification. Its designed hindrance free to concentrate more on your work.
The interface is laid out with a center blank page. One can always change the theme or add in colors to make it customizable. There are no options to change the size of the paper since it occupies the entire screen.
If the writing block covers the whole screen then where does the menu and setting options be? We found them on the edges as we take the cursor near it. The menu and settings options are unchanged from a normal word processing software.
There are certain features like setting up an alarm to keep track of your work and to make it in time since FocusWriter blocks out even the clock.
Other features include setting up targets based on word count or time. FocusWriter is a brilliant tool to jot down notes regularly but it is not the right tool for editors.
