The Huawei Band 2 Pro is the latest smart watch from Huawei that has functions like GPS, push notifications, sport tracking and great battery life at a price of just $49. The Huawei Band 2 competes head on head with Chinese giants like Garmin, Fitbit and TomTom. The band provides great value for money. Even though the Band 2 costs just $49, it looks and feels premium.
The band is made of rubber & plastic and the inlays are made up of aluminum. The looks are very similar to the Fitbit Alta. The Alta is comparatively smaller and looks better but Huawei Band 2 Pro looks like the expensive one, thanks to its Aluminum strips.
The Band 2 Pro has a tiny touch panel below the display which is the point of interaction. It doesn’t have a touch screen, so you need to cycle through all the options if you want to see a particular activity. You can read your texts and Whatsapp messages directly in your Band 2 Pro.
The screen used in the Band 2 Pro is monochrome. It has an OLED panel, which is used in Fitbit Alta. The display lights up only when the touch panel is pressed or when the band 2 pro is flicked around your face. It is also 5ATM water resistant, so you can even swim wearing it.
The battery life of the Band 2 Pro is ridiculous. While the company claims a battery backup of 21 days, you would easily get a full weeks battery life even with GPS usage.
For $49 the Band 2 Pro has given features that are other brands are selling for $150. With GPS, heart monitor, swim readiness and notifications it is safe to say Band 2 Pro is a great release from Huawei.
