The A8 series is a mid-range Samsung device and the phone has been tweaked with exciting new features which sets up head to head with the famous Oneplus 5T device. Let’s walk through all the features and find out if this should be your next purchase.
What’s Inside the A8 series
The main two powerful features that the A8 series holds is dual front-facing camera and a VR optimized Infinity Edge display which are actually the best news about it.
The Galaxy A8 has a 5.6in, 2,220 x 1,080 Super AMOLED display powered by 2.2 GHz processor (Octa – core) supporting 4GB RAM and 32 GB memory. The battery capacity is 3000mAh.
Whereas the Galaxy A8+ comes with 6in, 2,220 x 1,080 Super AMOLED display and powered by the same processor supporting 4 or 6GB RAM and 32 or 64GB storage. This is equipped with a 500mAh extra juice compared to the sibling.
The camera housing is the same on both the device which is a 16-megapixel f/1.7 shooter with dual f/1.9 cameras on the front.
The fingerprint sensor is located at the back as the screen widened up to 18:9 aspect ratio which is also said to be VR optimized and also powerful enough to take on VR games and apps. The mid ranger from Samsung is also IP68 dust- and water-resistant and can take up to 1.5m deep for 30 minutes. The power button can be found on the right and the volume rocker on the left. This also supports Type C port at the bottom. The 3.5mm jack is still a doubt on this device. Based on sources the worst part is the A8 series from Samsung will not come with Oreo update out of the box. “Come-on Samsung this is a 2018 launch, treat it like one”
The color options on this device is black, gold and orchid grey and the device is planned to be launched during April 2018 at a predicted Price of $600
Verdict
